When Drew was eleven, he had his stage debut as part of the ensemble of Fiddler on the Roof, rising to local stardom in the acclaimed role of Man #1. He had one show-stopping line: “It was a horse.” That same year, Drew also attempted to assert his masculinity, and joined the football team. He lasted one season, conceded that he was in fact a lover (not a fighter), and ran back into the familiar, comforting arms of music, never to leave.

The first song Drew ever wrote was a Mother’s Day gift for his mom. Since then Drew has won the John Lennon Songwriting Award (2006), played gigs all over the country sharing the stage with acts such as Jason Mraz, Third Eye Blind, and the Plain White T’s and has recorded 3 albums. He attended the Musicians Institute in Los Angeles and majored in Vocal Technique and Musicianship. In 2007, Drew composed his first musical, "Crazy, Just Like Me" (2009 San Francisco Theatre Festival, 2009 NAMT showcase, 2011 New York Musical Theatre Festival) which has gone on to open regionally across the country and soon in NYC.

His other works include: his second musical, “Circles”, “Above My Pay Grade” a corporate musical commissioned by Holt Learning (Book by Louis Sacco). He has also contributed to many other projects such as Broadway in South Africa for which he wasw commissioned to write music and lyrics for their annual gala at the Manhattan Center, and MAC Award winning, Cait Doyle’s Hot Mess In Manhattan for which he wrote “The Text Message Song”.

Drew has twice been the featured composer for the New York Theater Barn, Seattle’s New Voices, Unbound Productions, Emerson University, and a featured writer for The National Alliance for Musical Theater’s (NAMT) 2009 songwriter’s showcase at New World Stages. Drew has taught master classes at Emerson University in Boston, and NYU.

His music has been performed all over the country and in many famous NYC venues including sold out concerts of the Music & Lyrics of Drew Gasparini at Les Poison Rouge, Tthe Laurie Beechman, and Joe's Pub.

Drew is a proud member of ASCAP, and is part of the BMI/Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop for composers and lyricists. His sheet music can be found at NewMusicalTheatre.com, a website that caters to new emerging artists who are looking for good contemporary theatre music.

Currently Drew is pushing his musicals "Crazy, Just Like Me" and "Circles" in the right direction, and finishing work on his other projects including: A children's musical called "Pearl", a concert series called "Inappropriate Stories Told at a Bar", a new musical inspired by the stories of American serial killers, and a slew of concerts featuring his songs. As always, Drew continues to write for his solo career as well, releasing another album this year!
